The Greater Fort Worth Region includes the following counties:

 Hill, Runnels, Taylor, Brown, Johnson(west of I-35), Eastland, McCulloch, San Saba, Coleman, Palo Pinto, Hood, Comanche, Parker, Jones, Mills, Erath, Shackelford, Concho, Hamilton, Callahan, Somervell, Stephens, Bosque, Ellis,  and

Tarrant (west of I-35).

If the GFW Region were a state, we would rank 42nd in terms of square miles.






School districts that have participated are: Mineral Wells ISD, Abilene ISD, Wylie (Abilene) ISD, Weatherford ISD, Northwest ISD, Castleberry ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Hillsboro ISD, Mansfield ISD, Red Oak ISD, Brownwood ISD, Midlothian ISD, Venus ISD, Peaster ISD, Maypearl ISD, Cleburne ISD, Joshua ISD, Granbury ISD, Cross Plains ISD, Breckenridge ISD, Eagle Mountain/Saginaw ISD, Burleson ISD, Springtown ISD, Garner ISD, Waxahachie ISD, Glen Rose ISD, Brock ISD, Aledo ISD, Ferris ISD, Hawley ISD, White Settlement ISD, and Palmer ISD. 

Each year we add more school districts and all schools in our counties are encouraged to participate. 

Greater Fort Worth also has a number of private schools, homeschool groups and community groups that participate.
