Purpose: GFW DI is looking to reward an individual that has contributed to growth in the program at the regional level. The GFW DI Scholarship Fund will award a scholarship to a high school senior or post secondary student based on demonstrated service, recruitment, and/or volunteerism to the Greater Fort Worth Region of Destination Imagination.

Criteria: Applicant must be a current or former DI team member or volunteer in the GFW Region.

Applicant must be a high school senior or a student in post-secondary education, with plans to continue in an accredited school program, which the student will identify.

Applicant must present information regarding one’s service and volunteerism in the Greater Fort Worth Region that has assisted in the growth and sustainability of the GFW DI program.

Guidelines: The scholarship is a onetime non-renewable award that will be made payable to the identified educational institution.

Amount:  A single disbursement of $1,000.00 will be awarded.

Deadline:  The application deadline is January 10th, 2024. The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted. The committee will use the postmarked date to determine mailed entries.

Application:  Complete the Application Form, which can be printed and mailed or completed and submitted electronically. Then, in the format of your creative choosing, explain to the scholarship committee how you have contributed to the growth and sustainability of Greater Fort Worth Destination Imagination. Your response should not only explain your contributions, but it also should cite specific dates and occurrences where you have provided such contributions and should provide substantiation of your contributions with the testimony (audio, video or in written form) of others who witnessed your contributions.

In DI we celebrate the individual talents and skills that each member brings to bear on the team's success.  This is your opportunity to showcase and leverage your unique talents (graphic design, computer programming, event planning, teaching, appraising at Tournament) to help the Greater Fort Worth Region DI program reach more students.

By submitting your ideas to Greater Fort Worth Destination Imagination for consideration of this scholarship you are granting the sharing of your intellectual rights so that they may be utilized by others for the benefit of the region.
